HouseDoc

HouseDoc is a private and secure on-line service for e-mail communications between you and your doctor.

Communicating by e-mail instead of by phone increases convenience for some clients. For patients, HouseDoc provides an easy and convenient way to connect with the doctor from home, work, school or vacation. Your medical history and list of medications can be stored online in case of emergency. The doctor may respond to your on-line requests for appointments, test results, telephone consultations, prescription renewals, forms, or letters. Appointments are automatically confirmed online 3 days beforehand.

To use HouseDoc:

• register for free at www.HouseDoc.us
• select Dr. Steele by name from the Database
• request access

Once Dr. Steele has granted access, subsequent messages are automatically exchanged via HouseDoc.

Registration is free, and there are no charges for routine office communications. The physician has set fees for additional out-of-office services such as an online consultation, renewing prescriptions, or filling out forms, in which case a $2.00 service charge will be added to the patient's fee by HouseDoc. Payments are by credit card, at the time the service is requested.

For urgent matters contact the physician’s office directly and for emergencies go to your nearest emergency room immediately.

The service is private and secure, and compliant with HIPAA regulations and AMA guidelines.

Security is provided by SSL encription. Housedoc is certified as compliant with the HON standard for trustworthy health information.
